Thescreescore – In an era where Sony’s pivot away from physical media has left many enthusiasts feeling alienated, the PlayStation Plus subscription service remains a vital lifeline for the community. While the platform hasn’t reached a fever pitch of revolutionary content lately, it continues to serve as a reliable engine for variety, ensuring that subscribers always have a fresh roster of titles to sink their time into.
Following a robust October that featured heavy hitters like Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon: Forbidden West, the spotlight has shifted to November. Sony has officially pulled back the curtain on the latest additions for the Essential tier, offering a diverse collection of five titles that cater to a wide spectrum of gaming tastes.
Leading the charge is the high-octane zombie slayer Dead Island 2 (known as Secret Neighbor in certain Japanese markets). While some critics have noted that the gameplay loop doesn’t quite reach the dizzying heights promised in early marketing trailers, the title remains a highly engaging experience. Its vibrant, visceral environments offer a compelling playground for those looking to engage in some first-person carnage.
