Thescreescore – David Krumholtz, cast as Zor-El in the upcoming Supergirl movie, has hinted that the film will delve deeper into the House of El’s history, potentially addressing the controversial retcon introduced in the Superman film regarding Krypton’s intentions for Earth. The new DCU film will follow Milly Alcock’s debut as Supergirl, after David Corenswet’s Superman installment in 2025.
Krumholtz, speaking with @Nerdtropolis, emphasized the film’s faithfulness to the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow graphic novel, stating, "It’s very true to the graphic novel that it’s based on, Woman of Tomorrow, very true, which is great. Plus Lobo, which I can say, everybody knows that Jason Momoa is playing Lobo in it. So it’s that comic plus Lobo."

He added, "I’ll just say that I’m thrilled to be the next piece of telling the story of Krypton and further clarifying what the House of El is all about." This clarification could be significant, especially considering the twist in the Superman movie where Jor-El and Lara revealed their plan for Kal-El to rule Earth and transform it into a new Krypton.
