Known for her role as the viral sensation helicopter pilot Marianne Peters in Snyder’s Army of the Dead, Notaro has revealed that she and Snyder are developing a film with the working title Deviants, described as a "hot lesbian action" movie.
During a recent appearance on the On with Kara Swisher podcast, Notaro explained that the unexpected popularity of her Army of the Dead character played a significant role in sparking the idea for Deviants. She humorously recounted pitching the concept to Snyder: "What if we just went for it and everyone’s a hot lesbian?" Snyder, according to Notaro, enthusiastically embraced the idea, leading to the development of the project. Notaro even joked about the film’s potential poster, envisioning it simply displaying the title followed by "Hot Lesbian Action."
Notaro offered a brief glimpse into the film’s setting and the meaning behind its title, stating that Deviants will be set "back in some old-timey days, like some closeted deviants." While the script is still in the early stages of development, the project is officially underway.
