Thescreescore – Disney’s live-action Snow White adaptation, starring Rachel Zegler, is finally making its way to home viewing after a less-than-stellar theatrical run. Despite cracking the $200 million mark worldwide, the film, burdened by pre-release controversy and mixed reviews, fell short of expectations. Now, Disney is banking on digital and physical media sales to recoup some losses. The film will be available for rent and purchase on VOD starting Tuesday, May 13th, with a special two-movie bundle (including the classic animated version) also launching digitally on the same date. A physical release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD follows on June 24th, offering a limited-edition Steelbook for the 4K UHD version. Will home viewing audiences offer a warmer reception than the critics and box office? Only time will tell. Thescreescore.com will be watching closely.
