Thescreescore – The official teaser for Wuthering Heights has arrived, promising a darkly romantic adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel. Directed by Oscar-winner Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman, Saltburn), the film stars Margot Robbie (Barbie, Suicide Squad) as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi (Euphoria, Saltburn) as Heathcliff. The ensemble cast also includes Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton, Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton, Hong Chau as Nelly Dean, and young actors portraying the characters’ childhood selves. The film is slated for a February 13, 2026 theatrical release.
Warner Bros. unveiled a captivating first look, opening with Catherine lost in a romantic reverie of Heathcliff. As their passionate entanglement unfolds onscreen, a remix of Charli XCX’s "Everything Is Romantic" sets a modern, pulsating rhythm. The trailer reveals the film will feature original songs by Charli XCX, adding another layer to its unique aesthetic. A final, intimate scene between Heathcliff and Catherine – him asking, "Do you want me to stop?" and her breathless "No" – leaves the audience yearning for more.

This trailer showcases Fennell’s signature blend of period setting and contemporary sensibility, echoing the stylistic choices of Saltburn. The opulent production design, lingering close-ups on Elordi, and the striking contrast between societal decorum and raw desire all point to a visually stunning and emotionally charged film. The incorporation of a pop soundtrack, reminiscent of the music choices in Promising Young Woman and Saltburn, further solidifies this modern approach to a classic tale.
