However, Corey Mylchreest, known for his captivating performance as Young King George in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, revealed in an interview with Seventeen magazine that he auditioned for the coveted role of Flynn Rider. While admitting his audition "wasn’t very good," Mylchreest jokingly claimed his performance was so compelling that Disney scrapped the entire project upon realizing they couldn’t have him. His full quote, brimming with self-deprecating charm, reads: "It wasn’t very good. They then told me that they wanted someone with singing experience. I’m born to play him. I think they realized, they said ‘no, we don’t want you,’ and then when they realized they couldn’t have me, they scrapped the project."
This revelation throws a fascinating light on the behind-the-scenes drama surrounding Disney’s live-action strategy.
