Thescreescore – The grim darkness of the far future is about to get even more claustrophobic. While the franchise has recently enjoyed a massive resurgence thanks to the visceral action of Space Marine 2, it is the cerebral, lore-heavy world of Owlcat Games’ Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader that is currently stealing the spotlight. After a brief period of anticipation following a slight delay, we finally have a definitive date for the conclusion of this epic saga.
Owlcat Games has officially pulled back the curtain on the final chapter of the Rogue Trader journey. The fourth and concluding DLC, titled Processional of the Damned, is set to launch on December 8, 2026. Rather than acting as a disconnected side story, this expansion promises to weave seamlessly into the existing narrative, providing a grand finale to the player’s exploits across the Koronus Expanse.

The heart of this new descent into madness lies with Stella, a new recruitable companion hailing from the Order of Saint Cognatius. As a "Miraculist," Stella carries a psychic weight that makes her a living icon of her faith, but her presence leads the crew into a terrifying graveyard of derelict voidships. This massive wreckage serves as the stage for a desperate struggle to uncover the truth behind a mysterious lure that has trapped the crew in a tomb of metal and shadow.

For the tacticians and role-players, the expansion is packing a significant punch of new mechanics. Players can look forward to the introduction of the Zealot archetype—a brutal specialist in melee combat and area-of-effect devastation—alongside a new "madness" mechanic that threatens to unhinge your companions. The expansion also promises to deepen the experience with new Aeldari and Archenemy foes, expanded space exploration, more romance options, and fresh equipment like grenade launchers.
Originally slated for a September release, the delay announced by Owlcat earlier this month was a calculated move to ensure the expansion met the high standards of the franchise. This final piece of content will be part of the game’s second Season Pass, following the June release of The Infinite Museion.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader remains available across a massive array of platforms, including PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG), PlayStation, Xbox, and the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. Prepare your crew; the void is calling.
